Les Fous de L'Ile

On Ile St. Louis in Paris, there's a great casual dining restaurant that is perfect for a mid-day shopping/site seeing break or a lively dinner with friends.  The place is called Les Fous de L'Ile and has become a neighborhood go-to restaurant for me and B.  If you find yourself on this tiny island and in need of some sustenance, head here.

Walking into the restaurant, you notice a rooster motif.  There are dozens of them, all different shapes and sizes.  It might sounds kitschy, but it's not.  It gives off a cool vibe.  There are even some neat pieces of artwork featuring said bird that are for sale to anyone willing to bid in Euros.

To start, they brought us some toasted bread and tapenade.  A nice touch.

On this trip to Les Fous, B started with a creme brulée of foie gras.

And I had a delectable quiche lorraine, although it is hard to see it due to the salad on top!

Next came steak and fries (oh the fries are so good here).

And filet mignon of pork, wrapped in bacon on top of a puree.  Yum!
